Garageband Jam Pack Symphony Torrent
Posted : admin On 03.01.2020Great value - it's not often that Apple give something away like this. For me, the only problem lies in recording output from MainStage (I only have GarageBand, not Logic). The reason I want to do this is that not all of the patches are in a format that is usable in GarageBand. Most of the Jam Pack loops use the aif.
Or.caf file extension and are available in Garageband, but there are a significant number that use a different file extension that can only be used by Logic. (For example the Suitcase electric piano.) I tried using SoundFlower to route the output of MainStage into GB, but got bad latency.
If I could just play a MIDI file through MainStage everything would be perfect, but I can't work out how to do it. I could just buy Logic, but apart from the expense, I'm told that there is a big learning curve progressing from GB to Logic, which puts me off. Has anyone got any bright ideas about how to play a MIDI file through MainStage without using Logic? Jan 20, 2012 12:20 AM.
Thank Goodness I found this thread! I have been working on music for the past 4-5 years on my G5 PPC which is obviously now obsolete (hence me having to buy a new computer, grr @Apple for that!), but when I tried to transfer the files to the new iMac with OSX Lion on it somehow all the jam packs I had got deleted, leaving huge holes in most of my songs! I have been pulling my hair out trying to come up with a solution to remedy this problem and I thought it was a lost cause. I was going to actually pay 150 dollars for the download of all the Jam Packs from a website, luckily before I did that I came across this!
I am going to download Mainstage right away, I am so so so happy now! Just one question, I know when I imported my GB files from the G5 to the iMac it 'converted' them to the new GB format or something, so I am just hoping that the loops included with this App will still be compatible. Feb 16, 2012 2:01 PM. Hi, I recently ended up in a similar situation after transferring my files from a Macbook Air computer to a new Mac Mini. I redownloaded the 'additional content' God knows how many times but am still getting those errors. Seems like the most problematic is the Symphonic Orchestra pack (Steinberg Piano in particular) and Remixed Tools. I have an impression that there is a stale configuration file somewhere that makes MainStage believe that the content is OK.
Anyways, is there a way to uninstall everything and start from scratch. Any other ideas are absolutely welcome. Thanks, Vic Dec 2, 2012 3:24 PM.
