During operation the scanner remains stationary while it’s sensor automatically scans over the image. Full 24-bit colour data at 200 dots per inch is streamed to disc to minimise the free memory required. After scanning, the disc file is automatically rendered into a 256 colour sprite using Acorn’s ChangeFSI colour image processing software.

Images up to 3.93 x 6.29 inches can be scanned and other resolutions are software selectable. Scanned images can be used with art packages,!
